Background: The posterolateral corner is one of the main stabilizers of the knee. Injuries to the posterolateral corner are not common and mostly difficult to diagnose. It is often seen in a multiligament injured knee whereby anterior cruciate ligament and/or posterior cruciate ligament are also injured. Untreated injuries of the posterolateral corner can lead to substantial patient morbidity and functional instability.
