In this study, a recessed rectangular microstrip patch antenna which is for C band, working at 4.08GHz frequency with less than -18dB SIX has been designed simulated, built and tested. Microstrip antennas have the advantage of easy and cheap production process. This study aims that achieving maximum gain while changing the design parameters as lengths of dimensions and recessed parts. As a simulation result, electric field radiation pattern shows more than 10dB gain.
