Agricultural logistic processes are characterized by low deterministic ambient conditions leading to disturbances and capacity constraints. A more decentralized linkage and decision making seem promising to improve the situation by premature identification and problem resolution. The project SOFiA works on integrating a semantic model of logistic processes with event-discrete simulation to implement decentralized planning and control schema.
