PERBEDAAN RETURN SAHAM SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENERBITAN SUKUK IJARAH PADA PERUSAHAAN YANG TERGABUNG DALAM DAFTAR EFEK SYARIAH (DES) SELAMA 2007- 2016

Research on the influence of Islamic bonds (sukuk) on investor reactions is quite a lot done by some researchers, but studies that have been done previously did not specify the type of Islamic bond (sukuk) what was studied. The results of some of these studies also vary. The purpose of this study to determine whether there are differences in stock returns before and after the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) ijarah and how the effect of the event announcement of the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) ijarah on stock returns around the announcement of the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) ijara. This study was conducted on 10 samples of companies according to the sample criteria that made the announcement of the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) ijara. Each sample used 7 days before and 7 days after the announcement of issuance of syariah bonds (sukuk) ijarah as a period of observation (window period). The method used in this research is event study to show whether there is difference of stock return in period of event before and after issuance of syariah bond (sukuk) ijarah. To test the hypothesis used paired sample t-test with alpha significance level of 5%. The result of the test shows that there is no significant difference between stock return before and after announcement of issuance of syariah bond (sukuk) ijarah and announcement of issuance of syariah bond (sukuk) ijarah does not give effect to stock return around syariah bond issuance (sukuk) ijarah. In general, investors assume that the event announcement of issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) ijara is not a significant event
