ram's horn nAs soon as the boat arrives, she is fixed close to an oblong square low vessel of boards, so loosely joined at the bottom as to let the sea water run through it. This vessel, called _Ram's_ _horn_, probably a corruption of the French _Rin�oir_, is fastened to the Wharf's or stage's head.
