stationer n[The liveyeres of the Labrador] are swelled considerably in the summer months (June-September) by two further categories of residents the "stationers" who come up from Newfoundland (principally from Conception Bay) by CN coastal steamer, and who occupy summer "stations" to pursue the cod fishery; and the "floaters", who go north in Labrador schooners to fish the inshore grounds while living onboard their ships.PRINTED ITEM G.
