Over 90 percent of the farmers cooperating with the Soil Conservation Service who were interviewed in this study reported that the program had reduced sheet and gully erosion; 55 percent stated that sheet erosion had been greatly reduced or stopped, while almost 70 percent reported that gully erosion had been greatly reduced or stopped
