A three-dimensional combustion model with couples turbulent flow statistics with radiative properties was used to evaluate the effect of soot on radiative transfer in an industrial-scale furnace. Radiation and soot formation models are presented which include the nonlinear turbulence effects of radiative absorption and emissions.
