Drying with superheated steam is an emergent technology with big potential advantages with respect to energy saving, emission, reduction, fire and explosion prevention and product quality. In order to promote the application of this relatively unkown drying technology, this study has been performed to map the industrial applications and experiences with superheated steam drying. This report describes the work performed, the interviewing in the field, chapter 3, and the information on the available steam drying equipment, chapter 4, and the experiences with superheated steam drying.
