The aim of this seminar is the collection and dissemination of information and results to promote the market penetration of improved technologies for a more rational use of energy in the glass industry in Europe. Besides of the economic benefits this is a matter of increasing importance for the protection of the environment, in particular the reduction of energy-related CO2- and other greenhouse gas emissions, in the long term the major constraint on worldwide energy use.
