Das Saxifragetum blepharophyllae Schönswetter, Schneeweiß & Englisch ass. nov. wird als neue endemische Thlaspietea rotundifolii-Assoziation der östlichen Zentralalpen beschrieben. Die Standortsökologie dieser von Saxifraga blepharophylla geprägten Gesellschaft wird charakterisiert und zwei Subassoziationen werden unterschieden: subass. doronicetosum glacialis besiedelt steile, nordexponierte, feuchte Felshänge, subass. eritrichetosum nani besetzt windexponierte, trockenere Grate.
