Collection of eleven glass lantern slides, depicting scenes and characters from Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel. The slides are painted in fairly rudimentary fashion. Stowe's novel was translated into the medium of lantern slides from as early as September, 1853, shortly after publication, reflecting the novel's popularity. Date of slides is circa 1850s/1860s
