This research is being submitted to show the use of Linear Programming to determine a staffing problem for Intel Corporation in one of the Ronler Acres factories in Hillsboro, Oregon. One of Intel’s factories in Ronler Acres campus has increased factory capacity to make room to produce the next 14 nm technology process. The amount of manufacturing personnel needs to increase in order to make up for the increased amount of tools in the new factory space while still maintaining “lean manufacturing”.
