This report studies inventory levels and the allocation of hours between temporary employees and permanent employee overtime. It uses a Linear Programming Model to optimize the inventory levels and work allocation of an assembly plant. Inventory levels are optimized on the basis of prior demand quantities, cost of air freight, carrying cost of fixed inventory, and space constraints
