The paper describes the effect of TRIPS agreement on the less developed nations, and the steps taken by those governments to protect the health care industry from high cost charged by the global companies. It studies the case of India and Thailand; steps taken by these nations and implications of those steps. Different legal cases and compulsory licensing grants given by these nations and the reasons behind them have been analyzed and described in the paper.
