A contemporary global situation fuelling highly skilled, temporary and circular mobility and transnational migration experiences has led to increasing interest from origin countries in understanding emigration and diaspora. Little research about emigration and diaspora has been undertaken in high-income countries, therefore, there is limited data available to help understand these populations.
