Abstract no. 854The MASCC/ISOO clinical practice guidelines for the prevention and treatment of mucositis are an important resource for clinicians worldwide in managing this debilitating toxicity of cancer therapy. The Mucositis Study Group of MASCC/ISOO has been working for many months on the process of updating these guidelines. The methods followed will be described in detail in the previous talk by Drs. Bowen and Elad. A Guidelines Update Meeting is planned to be held in Athens on 21 June 2011. At this meeting, the outcomes of the literature reviews will be presented and the updated clinical practice guidelines will be developed. These updated guidelines will be presented during this talk by Dr. Lalla.S. Elad, J. Bowen, R. Lall
