This paper compares two survey methodologies. The mechanics of running a World Wide Web survey are described and the advantages and disadvantages of this technique are compared with a mail survey. In addition, an experiment comparing a World Wide Web and a mail survey of firms working internationally in the computer software industry is reported. Implications for future survey research using the World Wide Web are elaborated.Christopher Medlin, Subroto Roy and Theong Ham Cha
