© Copyright 2008 IEEE – All Rights ReservedPerformance of MUSIC and maximum likelihood direction-of-arrival estimation in the "threshold" region is compared with the performance of the recently introduced G-MUSIC, based on the general statistical analysis (GSA) methodology. While the superiority of G-MUSIC over MUSIC has been demonstrated, it remains to be established whether G-MUSIC also outperforms MLE in scenarios within the threshold region.
