Copyright 2007 by the American Geophysical Union.Reciprocity is an important result of electromagnetism that breaks down in the case of a nonisotropic media. For such media, however, there exist pseudoreciprocity results for which the pseudoreciprocal fields have different, but related, permittivity and permeability tensors. It is shown that these results can be readily extended to take account of disturbances in the medium of one of the pseudoreciprocal fields. These extensions are used to develop algorithms for radio wave propagation and, in particular, algorithms for the study of propagation through disturbed nonisotropic media.
