In May 2017 a survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on issue of power engineering. The survey dealt with a question of the future development of electricity consumption in the country, and whether or not it is possible to replace the production of electricity from conventional sources with alternative sources. Furthermore, the survey has found out how environmentally friendly the production of electricity is from some sources according to general public. The investigation also examined the acceptability or unacceptability of the rise in energy prices in consequence of the financial support of their production from renewable sources
