The high affinity receptor for human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) consists of a cytokine-specific α-subunit (hGMRα) and a common signal-transducing β-subunit (hβc) that is shared with the interleukin-3 and -5 receptors.
