This study investigated the involvement of the recently identified regulators of osteoclast formation RANKL [receptor activator of nuclear factor kappaB (RANK) ligand, osteoclast differentiation factor, TRANCE, osteoprotegerin ligand] and its natural inhibitor, osteoprotegerin (OPG), in the bone erosion of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
