The glycolysis of the living brain of deacapitated chronic cerebral local anaphylactic rabbits was investigated by irrigation method. Glucose was added to the irrigating fluid and the consumption of glucose was measured. In the chronic cerebral local anaphylactic rabbits the glucose-consumption was markedly strained in comparison with that in normal group. The pyruvic acid increased in both anaphylactic and normal groups, but the anaphylactic group showed a less increase than the normal.
