These experiments have been performed to make a study of effects of the high hydrostatic pressure on the dissolutions ability of cholinesterase contained in frog's muscle (M. sartorius) to acetylcholine. The method of measuring the amount of acetylcholine was the biological method. It has been able to suppose to be no effects at 60-200 atm. pressure on cholinesterase, but sometimes to be an effect of acceleratory action of cholinesterase at 200-300 atm. pressure, at 400-500 atm. pressure there were no effects again, and at 800-1500 atm. pressure there was an effect of inhibitory action of cholinesterase
