Pembentukan Atribut Ruang Bersama Pada Permukiman Dusun Bongso Wetan Gresik

. A community lives in a settlement has social relation each other. People of Dusun Bongso Wetan Gresik originally came from Madura Island, and now with their religion Islam and Hindu, they live together in their daily activities in Dusun Bongso Wetan. These activities use social spaces in their settlement together in their daily community interactions or in occasionally rituals and then common space for society formed. This community with their cultural and kinship background in rural area makes a unique and diverse of their domestic activities. In physical environment, common space influenced by activities, person (who did the activity), space (where the activity happen) and time (when the activity happen) formed as a setting with its space elements: fixed element, semi-fixed element, and non-fixed element. The purpose of this study was to identify how common space with its attribute formed by activities. Qualitative method with place centered mapping observation has been used to get the result of this study, a setting with its space elements form common space in settlement. Setting for daily activities and cultural activities in society shown how common space have different attribute to accommodate the sumperimposed using of space. Flexibility and accessibility of space make more activities possible to take place inside the setting
