Development of Early Maturity Cotton Resistant to Jassid in Dry Area.Cotton in Indonesia is grown mainly in rainfed area where water is very limited. So that, it frequently faces some constraints and its productivity is low. In this area, water shortage is a major problem for cotton growth and development, therefore this area needs early maturity cotton varieties. Other limiting factors were lack of farmers' capital, inavailability of high quality seeds, drought and insect pest attact (A. biguttula, H. armigera and P. gossypiella). To solve the problem, using early maturity cotton variety resistant to jassid, high quality seeds, cultivation technology, and integrated pest management are appropriate tools to increase the cotton productivity
