CERITA RAKYAT KABUPATEN SRAGEN  (SUATU KAJIAN STRUKTURAL DAN NILAI EDUKATIF)

This research is aimed (1) to describe the types of Sragen Regency folk literatures; (2) to describe the structure of Sragen Regency folk literatures; and (3) to describe the educative values of Sragen Regency folk Literatures. The description of folk literatures structure consists of theme, plot, actor, setting, and message. Meanwhile, the educative values are described into moral educative value, custom educative value, religion educative value, historical educative value, and heroic education value. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The strategy of this research is single case study, focused on Sragen Regency folk literatures. Data is collected through some data resources, they are informant, location and the physical things, and other document. The data is collected with direct observation, record, interview, making a note, and document analysis. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data validation techniques used in this research are triangulation and informant review. Triangulation used in this research consisted of data triangulation, methodological triangulation, and theoretical triangulation. Data of this research is analyzed by structural analysis and interactive model of analysis. There are four Sragen Regency folk literatures collected and analyzed in this research. They are (1) the folk literature of “Nyai Ageng Sragen”, (2) the folk literature of “Pangeran Mangkubumi”, (3) ) the folk literature of “Joko Tingkir”, (4) the folk literature of “Pangeran Samudra”. The four of Sragen Regency folk literatures in this research can be classified into the legend, especially into the local legend and the personal legend category. Generally, Sragen Regency folk literatures are collected in this research have same theme about he origin of the location or village. The plot used in the folk literatures are straight plot. The actor of the folk literatures is the man who described as the prefect man with good characters. The place setting used more than other in Sragen Regency folk literatures. There are some various messages can be found in Sragen Regency folk literatures. Sragen Regency folk literatures have some educative values. They are moral educative value, custom educative value, religion educative value, historical educative value, and heroic educative value
