PENGARUH INTENSITAS CAHAYA TERHADAP AKTIVITAS KERJA BAGIAN PRODUKSI DI PT. INDOFOOD CBP SUKSES MAKMUR DIVISI NOODLE CABANG SEMARANG

The research aim is to study about how much the effect of lighting intensity to the work activity in production department of PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Noodle Division Semarang Branch. The thinking framework of this research is that the high of lighting intensity accepted by the workers would influences to their work activities. The effects of lighting intensity may be categorized in both less and excess lighting intensities that would affected to the worker’s eyes sensation especially and generally causes the company failure. Lighting problem involves human capability to see something, character and vision sensation, emphasize to see the objects better and lighting effects of environment. In the work environment, the determining factor is object sizes, contras level between the objects and around, lamination from vision field that holds on lighting and reflection directed to the observers, and duration of observing. The essential things in lighting design to the work environment are: lighting sources used to provide the certain lighting intensity suitable with the type of work needed. The lighting source used involves sun shine for the natural source, and some lamp types linked in the artificial lighting intensity. In certain condition, natural and artificial lighting intensities used altogether to create the lighting condition with proper intensity for every type of work. The research results shown that, lighting intensity in the work process that inappropriate to the work types would cause the discomfort disorder of working activities. Curative act to the discomfort disorder caused by less lighting may be done with contras enhancing, increasing of lighting, and works rotation system setting.
