INTERVENSI AS KE KUBA (Studi Tentang Embargo Ekonomi AS dan Implikasi Politik Terhadap Pemerintahan Fidel Castro)

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) The background and motivation of the United States to intervene Cuba, (2) Realization of U.S. intervention into Cuba, (3) The implications of political and economic intervention against Cuba. This study uses the historical method. Data sources used were primary written sources and secondary sources written in the form of books, newspapers and magazines that are relevant to the research problem. Technique of collecting data used is book study, using the card system / catalog or computer and use the Internet. while technique of Analysis used is historical analysis, which analyzes the priority sharpness and sensitivity in interpreting the historical data approach the theoretical framework derived from the history of science with science approach of Politics and Sociology. The procedure through four stages of research with activities that are heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the results of this study, it is concluded: (1) Since Fidel Castro seized power in 1959, began a renewal of adverse U.S. capitalism by; (a) establishing the Agrarian Law tahun1959. This Act contains provisions to nationalize 1 / 3 of land owned by individuals and do not allow foreigners to own land in Cuba. This situation makes the United States suffered losses of up to U.S. $ 1.5 million; (b) Castro's nationalization program economy exacerbated in diplomatic relations with Cuba-Soviet Union that threaten U.S. hegemony in the Caribbean region (2) Realization of the U.S. intervention against Cuba by performing the invasion and economic blockade, starting from the Bay of Pigs invasion that carried the president to bring 14,000 troops Kennedy .
