IDENTIFIKASI SEKTOR UNGGULAN DAN PRIORITAS PEMBANGUNAN EKONOMI DI KABUPATEN SRAGEN TAHUN 2004-2008

The aim of this research are: 1) to identify and determine the role of each - each economic sector to the GDP in Sragen Regency, 2) to identify the economic sectors that have the greatest contribution to the GDP in Sragen regency and 3) to determine the economic sector that can be prioritized in economic development in Sragen. Used prosesing in this study are GDP data at current prices from 2004 until the year 2008 (latest data) Central Java Province and Sragen. To determine the dominant sector in accordance with the purpose of this study used a variety of analysis tools used, among others, Shift Share Classical, Location Quotient (LQ), Model Growth Ratio (MRP) and Overlay. The result of Shift-Share analysis using classical methode showed Sragen Regency’s economical sector development in 2004 until 2008 are manufacturing industries, services, trade, electricity, oil and clean water sector. LQ analysis results show Sragen Regency has 4 (four) basic sector, namely agriculture sector with LQ average of 1776, the sector of Electricity, Gas And Water Supply by LQ on average by 1613, Financial sector, Ownership, And Corporate Services LQ index by an average of 1134 and the Services sector with an average LQ of 1321. Analytical results indicate MRP 1) Sector (activities) in Central Java Province level and at the level of Sragen regency has an outstanding growth (first category), there are four sectors: Mining and Quarrying; Manufacturing; Construction and Transportation and Communication, 2) sectors (activities) at the level of Central Java Province have outstanding growth, but at levels less prominent Sragen (second category) there are 2 (two) sectors: Electricity, Gas And Water Supply and Services, and 3) Economic sector (activities) at the level of Central Java Province, has a growth that is less prominent, but at the level of Sragen Regency prominent (third category), there is one that is hany trade sector. Overlay analysis results showed: 1) sector is a potential, although its contribution is low but high growth is 5 (five) sectors are Mining and Quarrying; Manufacturing; Construction; Trade and Transport and Communication, 2) sector which has a small growth but there is a large contribution 4 (four) sectors, namely Agriculture; Electricity, Gas And Water Supply; Finance, Rental, And Service Companies and Services.
