KARAKTERISASI MORFOLOGI BEBERAPA NOMOR AKSESI TANAMAN JARAK PAGAR (Jatropha curcas L.) DI KEBUN PLASMA NUTFAH ASEMBAGUS, SITUBONDO, JAWA TIMUR

SUMMARY The Physics Nuts (Jatropha curcas L.) has potential as biofuel, so to increase optimally productivity, it’s can reached by using high variety. The function of plantation is the way for getting high variety. To use this plantation in the plant breeding programs so that must be exceed characterization process, like morphological characterizations. The purpose of this research was to studied and to identified the morphological characteristics some accession number of Jatropha curcas L. in Asembagus Plantation, Situbondo, Jawa Timur and also to studied the variation of some Jatropha curcas L. accession based on morphological characteristics. This research had been done at September 2007 in Asembagus Plantation, Situbondo, Jawa Timur. The data analyzed descriptively and continued with The Cluster Analysis (average linkage method). The result served in dendrogram. The result of this research indicate that twenty accession of Jatropha curcas L. has 167,5-245 centimeters height of plants, canopy diameters between 151,5-293 centimeters, stems diameters between 38,8-64,425 millimeters, total primary branch between 2-4, total panicle in a tree between 28-160, total flower in a panicle between 12-37, fruits diameters between 26,55-30,55 millimeters, total fruits in a panicle between 1-10, total fruits in a tree between 3-213, long of seeds between 15,25-18,5 millimeters, and the thick of seeds between 8,15-9,1375 millimeters. The accession of A-006, A-048 and D-011 has total panicle in a tree, total flower in a panicle, total fruits in a panicle and total fruits in a tree more relatively higher than the others accession observed. xiv Based on morphological characteristics likeness in 87,98% level, it’s showed that twenty accession of Jatropha curcas L. classified into two groups. The first group consist of three accession, they are A-006, A-048 and D-011. The second groups consist of fourteen accession, A-077, C-065, B-027, B-083, A-106, A-109, C-100, D-001, D-005, C-012, B-006, D-006, B-070, A-088, C-007, D-008 and C-103
