Water hyacinth can be used as the paper-making material and processed further to be made into ethanol. Before processed further, water hyacinth should undergo the delignification or lignin removing process. Delignification process is conducted in several ways: mechanic, craft, and organosolv. This research aims to find out the concentration of ethanol cooking solution and acetate acid by using the sulfate acid catalyst in order to get the maximum result of cellulose in water hyacinth delignification process with organosolv process using a reactor batch equipped by the electricity stirrer , mantle heater and also the condenser .
