The purpose of this research is to know or learn the amount of coal capacity in reducing metal content Cr2+ dan Fe2 in the steel industry waste. Adsorbs process carried out by flowing the waste of container vessel into a pipe reactor which contains coal as adsorbent with continuous flow. This research will study the effect of coal as an adsorbent to reduce the concentration of heavy metals chromium and iron in a reactor pap (column) in a variety of flow rate with a variable as follows: High bed (cm): 20, 25, 30, 35, 40; Rate Flow (ml / min): 35, 50, 65, 80, 95. The results of this study indicate that decreasing the concentration of chromium best, that is equal to 51.90 mg / L with% absorption of 64.84% while the best concentration of iron metal, that is equal to 56.28 mg / L with% absorption of 42.18%.
