Law that rule, a village has been several times experience change. Each of law have never consistent where village arrangement direction. It’s because system of legislation forming concerning village in each level governance predominated the willingness of power handle which not own the mechanism reach the entangling of governance of village and its society aspiration. As a result village become to exist the willingness center and its characteristic loss.\ud Research into this take the problem formula that is: How history of village growing before independence and how the and village autonomy in law movement about region autonomy and how the form of the autonomy that appropriate for the village in Indonesia in the future.\ud This research use a close approach of normative judicial metode, with qualitative descriptive law material analyzing and law translation. punish analyzing using is a law project that consist in the primer, scunder, tertier law material. \ud From the research result we can obtain a data about the government rule a village, must be start from the state, structure side, with asking question placed in determining of village in state structure. Village become a part of state structure aspect because village is a united of autonomy. Because of that determining of village will implication on tupoction, authority, monitory, watcher, responsibility, and relation with government unity.\ud Conclusion, The ideal countryside autonomy is placing determining of a village and lifting to domicile countryside as local self government.
