Level crossing analysis and measure proposals on railway line Ljubljana - Grosuplje

This graduation thesis deals with the Slovenian and EU legislation which governs crossings between\ud the railway and road. It addresses safety at level crossings in Slovenia and Europe and the occurrence\ud of illegal black level crossings for pedestrians. By analysing the attributes (category of roads, distance\ud from neighbouring level/outer level crossing, means of protection, visibility at level crossing, density\ud of rail and road traffic, restrictions in surrounding area, incidents at level crossings etc.) on passively\ud protected level crossings and level crossings actively protected by technical means of automatic road\ud signal the compatibility of existing legislation and current situation on selected level crossings is being\ud compared on a railway line Ljubljana-Grosuplje. The result of this work is the proposal of necessary\ud changes in a particular level crossing and illegal black level crossing for pedestrians
