Influence of the exploration gallery on the Šentvid two lane tunnel construction

Thesis work is dealing with influence of the previously executed exploration gallery on later two lane tunnel construction. Work refers to actual realization in tunnel Šentvid. First the scope of the document is introduced following by description of the problem and explaning the purpose and goals. Continuing with the document the Šentvid tunnel system is presented with special chapters on exploration gallery and encounted geological conditions. Used tunnel method, principles and classification are described. Presenting the conclusions derived from literature on this thopic is followed by program description including basics on used materials and applied constitutive models. Calculation part starts with two dimensional analyses for derivation of the influence of mesh density, load function, rock mass properties, constitutive models and divergency tolerance. This part is followed by three dimensional analyses where all basic modification of the surrounding rock by tunnel excavation and influence on the tunnel and exploration gallery linening is introduced. For analysing of the influence of the gallery on the two lane tunnel four calculations in two rock types are carried out. In this work beside results with comparisons and conclusions we also find other applicable results and comprehensions. With used presumptions the influence of the gallery is minimal. Using other material models, variaton of the overburden and especially excavation size, the influence of the smaller excavation on a biger excavation profile could be increased
