The study aimed to analyze the creation of micro and small business of the creative economy. Specifically intended to identify the sources of inspiration for the design and development of the idea; check how entrepreneurs evaluated and explored business opportunities; analyze the activities carried out during the period of preparation and conception, and finally report the difficulties observed during the creation phases. The research method adopted was the multiple case studies and were elected five cases according to the classification presented by UNCTAD (2010).
