The article overviews issues discussed at the 69th IFLA General Conference held in Berlin, Germany, highlighting activities of the Cataloguing and Bibliography Sections. The Cataloguing Section undertook preparation of international cataloguing principles, which will be followed by an international cataloguing code. There were discussions concerning the role of the national bibliography in the virtual environment, modern forms of the national bibliography, its presentation on the Internet and new methods for its preparation
