Since XIX century to date, humanity has been witness of radical changes in all areas. The progress in biological science, the application of new technology and the computer science, will entail a change and a challenge to health professionals. Medical libraries , in particular, will suffer a huge metamorphosis in its format as its services. In few years we will pass from the medical texts collection classified by authors, to a virtual library with access to complete texts and with search systems, that will provide the information almost instantaneously. Libraries and its professionals will adapt to those changes, and to the constant challenges of the new times as they have been doing it throughout history
