Economic growth is dependent on many factors, economic and noneconomic factors. Demographics are one of non economics factors that effect economic growth. Semarang as the capital province of central java has fluctuating in economic growth. In 2008, the economic growth of Semarang was 3,78% while the growth of central java on averaged for 5,46%.The objective of the study is to analyze the association between population growth and the dependency ratio.
