The Effect of Fermented Diets on Body Weight Gains, Carcass and Abdominal Fat in Bali Ducks

The research was carried out to study the effect of fermented diets on body weight gains, carcass, and abdominal fat of Bali duck aged 2-8 weeks. The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments in six replicates. There were fourth birds with homogenuous body weught in each repli-cates. The experimental diets for the finishing period (aged 2-8 weeks) were formulated to 17% crude protein and 2900 kkal ME/kg as a control diet (A), birds with offered 50% fermented diets (B), and birds with offered 100% fermented diets (C), respectively. Experimental diets and drinking water were provided ad libitum during the entire experimental period (aged 2-8 weeks). Result of this experiment showed that final body weight, body weight gains, slaughter weight, carcass weight, and feed efficiency, boht in treatments B and C were increased significantly different (P<0,05) than control, but percentage of abominal fat were decreased (P
