ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEBIJAKAN DIVIDEND PAYOUT RATIO (Studi Kasus Pada Perusahaan Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2005-2007)

This study is performed to examine the effect of cash ratio, growth, firm size, Return On Asset (ROA), Debt to Total Asset (DTA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) toward Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) in companies that is listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange over period 2005-2007. The population of this research is 392 company that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2005-2007.Sampling technique used here is purposive sampling on criterion (1) the company that represents their financial report per 2005-2007, and (2) the company that continually share their dividend period 2005-2007. The data is obtained based on Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD 2008) publication. It is gained sample amount of 31 companies from 392 companies those are listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange. The analysis technique used here is multiple regression with the least square difference and hypothesis test using t-statistic to examine partial regression coefficient and F-statistic to examine the mean of mutual effect with level of significance 5%. This research results that cash ratio, firm size, and Return On Asset (ROA) gives significantly positive effect on dividend payout ratio (DPR). It also funds that growth gives significantly negative effect on dividend payout ratio. The other variables which is Debt to Total Assets (DTA) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) are not significant to DPR.We suggest for investors in Indonesian Stock Exchange whose purpose to gain dividend should be pay attention for informations that issued by the company, because with those information they can make the best decision for their investments. On this research, Return On Asset (ROA) shows the most influencing variable toward DPR that pointed by the amount of beta standardized coefficients value 0,352, Cash Ratio are 0,300, Firm size are 0,254, and growth are -0,251. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel cash ratio, growth, firm size, Retun On Asset (ROA), Debt to Total Asset (DTA), dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) terhadap Dividend Payout Ratio pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2005-2007. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 392 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2005-2007. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria: (1) perusahaan yang selalu menyajikan laporan keuangan periode 2005-2007, dan (2) perusahaan yang secara kontinu membagikan dividennya setiap periode 2005-2007. Data diperoleh dari publikasi Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD 2008). Diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 26 perusahaan .Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda dengan persamaan kuadrat terkecil dan uji hipotesis menggunakan t-statistik untuk menguji koefisien regresi parsial serta F-statistik untuk menguji pengaruh secara bersama-sama dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cash ratio, firm size, dan Return On Asset (ROA) berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap DPR. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa growth berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap DPR. Variabel lain dalam penelitian ini yaitu Debt to Total Asset(DTA) dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap DPR.Kami menyarankan kepada para investor di Bursa Efek Indonesia agar memberi perhatian lebih terhadap informasi yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan dalam membuat keputusan investasi mereka.
