Usage of Treated Shrimp Waste in Ration and Its effect on Broiler Live Weight, Carcass, Giblet and Abdominal Fat

The objective of the research was to know the best method of processed- shrimp wastes on live weight, carcass, giblet, and broiler abdominal fat. Experiment was designed using completely randomized design with five treatments of ration and four replications. Treatments were basal ration with added by 5% shrimp waste. Treatments were R0 (basal ration + non treated shrimp waste), R1 (basal ration + shrimp waste hydrolyzed by 3% NaOH), R2 (basal ration + shrimp waste hydrolyzed by 6% NaOH), R3 (basal ration + shrimp waste hydrolyzed by 5% H2O2), and R4 (basal ration + shrimp waste fermented by Aspergillus niger). Numbers of treated chickens were 180 broilers of MB 202 strain. To compare the effect of treatments, data was analyzed using least square difference. Results showed that there were significant effect of treated waste shrimp on live weight, carcass, giblet, and broiler abdominal fat, but no there was significant effect on carcass percentage. Hydrolyzed shrimp waste with 3% NaOH was the best way to treated shrimp waste which was shown on its effect on live weight. Keywords: shrimp waste, live weight, carcass, giblet, abdominal fat, broile
