Plasmodium falciparum infection is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Malaria has been increasing in Central Java including Jepara regency since 1999. Rapid diagnosis is a cornerstone in prevention and management of patient with malaria especially falciparum malaria . "ICT malaria P.?' is a new rapid diagnosis test for falciparum malaria. This method is based on detection of P. falciparum HRP-2 antigen in patient sera that bound by monoclonal antibody of the test card. The test is easy to perform and the result can be obtained within 5 minutes.
