Faktor Maternal dan Kualitas Pelayanan Antenatal yang Berisiko terhadap Kejadian Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) Studi pada Ibu yang Periksa Hamil ke Tenaga Kesehatan dan Melahirkan di RSUD Banyumas

Low Birth Weight (LBW) is one of the factors influencing to neonatal mortalities. Result of a previous study at Banyumas Public Hospital showed that LBW cases in year 2005 (12,97%) increased in year 2007 (14,05%) even though the program of LBW prevention had been performed. Aim of this research was to find out the risk factors of maternal and quality of antenatal care services toward the occurrence of Low Birth Weight This research used case control design. Population was pregnant women who were delivered of their babies at Banyumas public Hospital during March-May 2008. Samples was carried out using the technique of simple random sampling. Number of sample was 69 persons that consisted of 23 persons within case group and 46 persons within control group (1:2). Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis (Chi Square Test) and multivariate analysis (Logistic Regression Test). The result of this research show that the factors of anemia disease during pregnancy (p=0.03, OR= 2.91, 95%CI=1.09-8.2), age (p=0.009, OR=4.28, 95%CI= 1.48 -12.4), birth distance (p=0.004, OR= 5.11, 95%CI=1.6 – 16.18), quality of antenatal care (p=0,001, OR= 5,85, 95%CI=1,9 – 17,88) are related to the occurrence of Low Birth Weight. Based on multivariate analysis, the most influenced factor towards the occurrence of Low Birth Weight are age less than 20 years old and more than 34 years old, birth distance less than 2 year and bad quality of antenatal care services.
