Bibliography of Bibliographies of Iranian Poets and Writers

The effects which the information age and the increasing speed of information technologies have on the current society can be investigated in various ways. As a case in point, the disadvantages of the rapid growth of publishing and information sources whose effect can be seen directly in research and the cultural improvement. Regarding the large body of information in different fields of science and numerous forms of information like books, articles, audio- visual materials ( cassettes, films, microfilms), databases and other electronic sources ( multi-media, web logs…)researchers and librarians inevitably choose them in order to have an optimal use of time . Reference sources, especially bibliographies are one of most important means of research and material selection in libraries which help the researchers and librarians in speed and accuracy of selection. Bibliographies are prepared and revised in different kinds. One of them is the bibliography of bibliographies .The purpose of the preparation of these bibliographies is to familiarize the user society with the published bibliographies. This thesis tried to bridge the gap in our country's reference sources by providing a collection of published bibliographies about the Iranian poets and writers
