Nonradiative energy transfer from linear stacks of [Pt(CN)₄]²⁻ complexes to rare-earth cations in Ln₂[Pt(CN)₄]₃•nH₂O single crystals was investigated by time-resolved emission spectroscopy. The transfer rates were found to vary in the range (10⁸ - 10⁹) s⁻¹
