The tetrametric complexes [AgP(OCH3)3Cl]4 and [AgP(C6H5)3Cl]4 show an emission which is assigned to a metal-centered 4d-5s transition. This emission occurs at rather low energies (≈ 20800 cm−1) due to modification of the ds transition by metal-metal interaction within the tetrahedral Ag4 moiety of these clusters
