Noise-based Transmit-Reference (TR) radio system is a simple and practical candidate for ultra-wideband (UWB) communication applications. This paper evaluates the performance of the Transmit-Reference radio system in a frequency-selective fading channel by theoretical analysis and computer simulations. The performance is also compared with that of the system in a single-path AWGN channel
